After Suicide Artwork - flattened image

A film about living with loss

After Shaun is a British documentary film delving into the heartbreaking repercussions of suicide on those left behind. Produced by Craig Davies and Chloe Taylor of Lost Hour Films, the film is now available to watch on YouTube (head to our 'Watch the film' page).

Through a series of interviews with those grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide, supported by professional testimonials from Mental Health experts and campaigners, the film strives to show the devastating reality of suicide in the UK today.

The concept for the film came about after our Director Craig Davies sadly lost his brother Shaun to suicide in 2018. Through the process of exploring Shaun's story, we realised the necessity to reach out to others, who like Craig, are learning to live with the loss of a loved one to suicide.

Close to 800 000 people die due to suicide every year, which is one person every 40 seconds... There are indications that for each adult who died by suicide there may have been more than 20 others attempting suicide.
